Here are some of the very early RatRod project sketches. They were pounded out very quickly to get the communication between myself and the client happening. I love to get something on paper as soon as possible to begin getting feedback.

This project began as a design for an automotive magazine that is unfortunately closing its doors. Prints and T-Shirts are currently available through RedBubble.com.

Design Droplets, the online Industrial Design Magazine, has published an article by Brett Capron. The article discusses all the elements that make up Sustainable Design and tries to put forward some practical and implementable actions to increase the sustainability of a design practice or product oriented company.

The RIENT Stool was published on page 16 of the Furnitex 2009 Catalogue. The Furnitex 2009 Electronic Catalogue can be accessed via the furnitex website.

On the 23rd September the 25th Fringe Furniture exhibition was opened, with the theme of “Silver”. CAPRON design was proud to participate by displaying the RIENT Stool. The evening was a bohemian mixture of a live performance art show, a festival opening ceremony, an awards presentation and an opportunity for people to enjoy a beer or wine a walk through and eclectic collection of furniture pieces.

This year’s theme has been interpreted literally, symbolically, spiritually and broadly by the artists and designers who have entered work into the exhibition.

The collection is a very broad sample of Melbourne (and Australia’s) creative talent. The exhibition runs from the 24th September to the 10th of October, in the Arts House, Meat Market at 5 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne.

The exhibition is open to the public and entry is free of charge.
